La edición No. 77 de los Globos de oro 2020 se celebrará el domingo 05 de enero en el Beverly Hilton Hotel, en Beverly Hills (Los Ángeles, Estados Unidos). Que contará con reconocimientos especiales a Tom Hanks (Premio Cecil B. DeMille) y a Ellen DeGeneres (Premio Carol Burnett)
La conducción estará a cargo del comediante Ricky Gervais; quien la dirigió en los años 2010, 2011, 2012 y 2016. Además, este año, la Asociación de Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood premiará un total de 20 producciones cinematográficas y 15 producciones televisivas.
También se contarán con los presentadores con una gran trayectoria en el mundo de la televisión y el cene, entre ellos estarán Sofía Vergara, Salma Hayek, Amy Poehler y Margot Robbie; Harvey Keitel, Daniel Craig, Charlize Theron y Scarlett Johansson, entro otros.
Los grandes protagonistas de esta edición son, sin duda alguna, Joaquín Phoenix, por su papel en «Joker», la película «Historia de un matrimonio» con la protagonización de Scarlett Johansson y Adam Driver. Además, Robert De Niro y Al Pacino por «El Irlandés».
La transmisión estará a cargo de los canales E! y TNT.
